Troy Falls to Georgia State to Wrap Up 2016 Season

MOBILE, Alabama – The Troy softball team fell to Georgia State, 8-0, in the seventh game of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at Jaguar Field.

Georgia State (32-27) struck first and put up four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Kensey Caldwell got things started for the Panthers when she singled through the right side and brought Taylor Anderson around for the score.

Remington Hasty followed up with a single of her own to bring Caldwell and Ivie Drake around to cross the plate. The final run of the inning came when Brenna Skalski scored on a groundout to second.
