MOBILE, Alabama – South Alabama made 10 of its last 11 field goal attempts en route to an 80-77 upset of Troy at the Mitchell Center on Saturday.

The Jaguars (17-3, 6-3 SBC) outscored the Trojans 30-22 in the fourth quarter and got a career-high, 31-point performance from Savannah Jones.

Jones hit her first five shots of the game and finished 11-of-19 from the field including 4-of-7 from three-point range. Shaforia Kines also had a career night with 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting.

South Alabama used the 17thlead change of the game – a Jones three-pointer with 1:05 to play – to take control for good.
