CONWAY, South Carolina – The free throw line was kind to Coastal Carolina as the Chanticleers outshot Troy 39-11 from the charity stripe en route to an 84-71 win over the Trojans on Thursday in the HTC Center.
Jas Adams scored 40 points on 9-of-18 shooting, but did the majority of her damage at the free throw line going 16 of 21 on the night. As a team, Troy was 9 of 11 at the line. Adams posted a double-double with 11 rebounds.
Coastal Carolina (13-12, 8-5 Sun Belt) scored 28 points at the free throw line courtesy of 28 Trojan personal fouls.
