BOONE, N.C. – At 3,333 feet above sea level, Troy continued to make Boone, N.C. its home away from home. The Trojans won their sixth straight game in as many tries at Appalachian State after defeating the Mountaineers, 80-60 Friday night in the Holmes Convocation Center.
On top of winning its sixth straight at App State, Troy (10-4, 6-1 SBC) also extended its season long winning streak to six on Friday. After being outscored 14-20 in the first quarter, the Trojans outscored App State (8-7, 5-4 SBC) in the final three frames 66-40. Troy shot 41 percent (30-for-73) from the field and 31 percent (5-for-16) from behind-the-arc.
