TROY, Ala. – Troy picked up a key divisional win over Appalachian State Friday night in Trojan Arena, 3-1 (27-29, 25-16, 25-17, 25-22). The Trojans have won 14-straight home matches dating back to last season, tied for the eighth-longest home win streak in the nation.
The Trojans (19-5, 9-3 Sun Belt) secured their ninth Sun Belt win of the season which is the second-most conference wins in a single season in school history (2012, 10-5 Sun Belt). The win keeps Troy in the battle for the Sun Belt East division with a key match against division-leader Coastal Carolina Saturday night.
