“Better than Thursday, I thought, and much better than Tuesday,” Lindsey assessed after Troy completed its sixth practice Saturday in full pads. “Guys had great energy. You could tell at the end, we’re 22 periods in and those guys are excited and doing a great job of competing. That’s what it’s going to take for us to get better, is to compete against each other and make some progress in that area.”
The competition at wide receiver is helping sharpen the defensive backs, defensive coordinator Brandon Hall said Saturday.
“I was joking with Corn (receivers coach Cornelius Williams) the other day, we might as well have a basketball team,” Hall said of facing the Troy receiving corps.
