TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – The Troy women's tennis team opened play at the Roberta Allison Fall Classic on Friday, hosted by the University of Alabama. Six players competed in singles, and three doubles teams represented the Trojans.
Troy got off to a great start in doubles play as Nancy Karaky and Alicia Rodriguez defeated a strong duo from host team Alabama 8-6. Exciting doubles matches continued as Hannah Seizer and Luisa Ferrauti picked up an 8-2 win over a pair from Mercer. The lone loss in doubles for the day came in a tight match as Sanae Ohta and Efriliya Herlina fell 8-6 to UT Chattanooga.
