TROY, Ala. – Behind the strength of a five-run first inning and three hits off the bat of Logan Cerny, Troy bested Georgia Southern, 11-8, Saturday afternoon at Riddle-Pace Field to even the Sun Belt Conference series at a game each.
Troy (9-9, 1-1 Sun Belt) led 6-0 after two innings of play before the teams traded two-spots over the later frames. The double-digit scoring outburst was the fourth of the season and second consecutive on a Saturday for the Trojans.
