TROY, Ala. – Troy's Tron Folsom and Tyler Sumpter have been named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, the league office announced Monday after the pair played large roles in Troy's victory at Nebraska on Saturday.
Folsom, a senior linebacker from Alma, Ga., recorded a game-high 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a pass break up in the 24-19 victory over the Cornhuskers.
