MOBILE, Ala. – Another slow start hampered the Trojans in Saturday's series finale against South Alabama in Mobile. Troy dropped its final game of the weekend, 8-0, to the Jaguars at Stanky Field.
Troy (13-13, 2-4 SBC) managed just one hit in the contest, a single from in the third inning to extend his career-long on-base streak to 35 games.
South Alabama (16-10, 5-1 SBC) started fast with a two-run opening frame before taking a 6-0 lead with a four-spot in the bottom of the fifth. The Jags added a seventh run on a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth and their final run of the game on a sac-fly in the eighth.
