TROY, Ala. – No. 22 Appalachian State defeated Troy, 48-13, Friday evening in Sun Belt Conference action at Veterans Memorial Stadium to spoil the Trojans' Senior Day.
The Mountaineers (11-1, 7-1 Sun Belt) jumped out to a 20-3 lead in the first quarter and carried a 34-13 advantage into the break over the homestanding Trojans (5-7, 3-5).
In his final game behind center for Troy, Kaleb Barker completed 25-of-41 passes for 281 yards to finish the season with 3,687 passing yards and 3,765 yards of total offense, the third and second most in a season in Troy history, respectively.
