Troy Downed at Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – A late run made things interesting, but Troy could not overcome a double digit fourth quarter deficit in a 76-72 loss to Little Rock on Thursday in Jack Stephens Center.

Trailing by 11, 70-59, with 54 seconds remaining in the game, Troy scored six points in 10 seconds to cut the gap to five. After the teams traded layups, knocked down a three-pointer to pull Troy within two, 72-70.

It appeared as though Troy would tie the game when stole the ball and was clear on a fast break, but a late foul call stopped play and handed the ball back to Little Rock, that immediately converted four consecutive free throws to ice the game.
