TROY - Troy University’s Deputy Athletics Director for Internal Affairs and Senior Woman Administrator Sandy Atkins begins her first year of a four-year term on the NCAA Division I Softball Selection Committee.
Atkins, a Troy University Sports Hall of Fame member as both a softball player and administrator, is part of a 10-member committee tasked with selecting and seeding the 64-team field for the NCAA Division I Softball Tournament, executing the Women’s College World Series and other initiatives to advance the sport.
“This is an awesome honor to be appointed to the NCAA Softball Committee,” Atkins said.
