TROY, Alabama - Troy (7-2) had a dominating weekend at the Troy Softball Complex as they hosted the 2017 Trojan Classic and finished the tournament with a sweep. Troy earned two wins on Friday against Jacksonville and Longwood, two wins on Saturday against Longwood and Samford and closed out the tournament with a 5-1 win over Jacksonville.
The Dolphins reached on a fielder's choice early in the first inning gave Jacksonville a 1-0 lead with the Trojans up to bat in the bottom of the second. Two base hits from and brought in a run to tie the game.
