Head football coach Neal Brown mentioned several players from Dothan who are expected to be starters on the defensive side this season.
“Northview grad Jalen Harris will start at one corner as far as our field corner spot, and our boundary corner will be Kamryn Melton, a Dothan High product who transferred in from Auburn,” Brown said. “We’re excited about those two kids.
“A guy from Houston Academy has a chance to be our kickoff guy in Bratcher Underwood. A local kid, Emanuel Thompson (receiver), I believe he’s ready to have a breakout year. He was a basketball star at Barbour County and I really feel like he’s prepared to take the next step and be a potential all-league player.
