Eight practices and almost three weeks into spring, Troy will hold its first scrimmage this morning around 9 a.m. in Veterans Memorial Stadium. It is open to the public.
“It’s flown by,” Lindsey said of Troy’s pre-scrimmage work. “I think we’re making the right process. It’s big for us getting to a scrimmage situation. Things happen in a scrimmage that you can’t predict and script. We need some of that and we’re ready to get it going.”
Lindsey said playing fast and playing with effort are always important, but what he looks for most in a first scrimmage is communication at every level.
