During the first scrimmage, true freshman wide receiver Sam Letton had the day’s first touchdown when he took a quick slant from Sawyer Smith 21 yards for a score. Letton added a couple of other clutch passes in third-down situations.
Meanwhile, running back Jabir Frye had two long touchdown runs – one coming off a speed sweep out of the wide receiver position.
