ATLANTA – Troy's offense carried Friday's momentum over into game two recording their 10 double-digit hit contest of the season en route to a series-clinching win over Georgia State, 11-6, Saturday at Bob Heck Field.
With the series win, Troy (21-6) has won the opening two conference series of the season for the first time since 2009.
The Trojans hopped on the board in the opening frame when scored from third on an error by the Panthers' second baseman.
Georgia State answered in bottom half of the first scoring two runs off a Sophie Mooney single to take its first and only lead of the contest.
