HUNTINGTON, W.V. – Behind a career-high 6.2 innings pitched from and Ethan Kavangh's first career home run as a Trojan, Troy (35-17, 15-11) came away with a 6-3 victory over Marshall Saturday afternoon to win their 35th game of the season.
The 35 wins are the most by a Trojan team since 2018 when they won 42 and advanced to a NCAA Regional. The win is also the Trojans' 15 in Sun Belt Conference play which matches last season's total with four games still to go in the regular season.
In his sixth start of the season, Ross (4-1) went more than six innings for the first time in his career while only allowing three runs on seven hits with only one walk and six strikeouts to earn the win.
