Burks will join the practice squad following his signing.
Burks became just the seventh-different Troy running back to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in his senior season in 2015. He earned a spot on the Sun Belt Conference’s honorable mention lists in his junior and senior seasons.
At Daleville, he also earned honorable mention on the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s all-state lists in 2010 and 2011.
