CONWAY, S.C. – Little Rock hit an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to hand Troy a tough 6-5 loss in Sun Belt Conference tournament baseball action at Springs Brooks Stadium on Wednesday morning.
Trailing 5-1 heading into the sixth inning, Troy (29-28) plated a run in the sixth off an RBI double from Dalton Sinquefield to reduce Little Rock’s (29-26) lead. In the seventh, Reed Smith and Rigsby Mosley tallied back-to-back singles to place runners at first and second with one out.
Two batters later, Sadler Goodwin stepped in the box and hit a three-run home run to right field, his 10th long ball of the season, to tie the game at 5.
