JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Troy men's tennis narrowly missed out on getting the first win of the spring season after falling to Elon 4-3 in a neutral site matchup on Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville, Fla.
Jiaqi Duan and Pelayo Antuna fell just 4-3 in their doubles match while Troy lost the other two sets 6-2, 6-0 to drop the doubles point. That proved to be the decisive point of the match.
The Trojans (3-3) had the best singles outing of the year as Andy Lau earned a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 victory in the one spot.
