TROY, Alabama – Troy Athletics is proud to announce that over $4,000 has been donated to various cancer research organizations after last Saturday's Play 4Kay game at Trojan Arena.
The largest donation, $2,500, was made to the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama on behalf of Troy Athletics. Women's basketball players Amanda Mendoza and Ashley Beverly Kelley shot 3-pointers at halftime of the men's game, with $100 donated for every make in 60 seconds.
Troy women's basketball sold pink T-shirts, took donations and held a silent auction that, all combined, raised $1,525 for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
