TROY – Chip Lindsey’s coaching staff at Troy continues to take shape. The new head coach announced the hiring of offensive specialist John Carr and former Trojan defensive lineman Davern Williams on Thursday.
Carr comes to Troy after one season at ULM, where he coached receivers and was the recruiting coordinator. Much of his career was as a high school coach in Louisiana. He has 20 years of experience at the high school, junior college and collegiate levels.
While Lindsey hasn’t announced specific staff positions, Adam Hunsucker of the News-Star in Monroe, La., reported Carr will be the passing game coordinator and will coach the inside receivers.
