TROY, Ala. – Troy men's basketball brings in Nelson Phillips from the defending SBC champions, Georgia State, head coach Scott Cross announced Wednesday evening.
"We are extremely excited about the addition of Nelson Phillips to our basketball team, Cross said. "Nelson is a player that we are very familiar with as we have had the opportunity to scout him over the past few years. He was always a player that really concerned our coaching staff because of his ability to shoot combined with his great athleticism."
The 6-3, 180-pound guard played all his first three seasons with Georgia State, being the sixth-leading scorer on the championship roster at 7.
