TROY – Troy will travel to Death Valley in week two of the 2025 season and take on Clemson on Sept. 6, 2025, in Memorial Stadium. It will be Troy’s first visit back to Clemson since the Trojans pulled a near upset of the Tigers in 2016. Both schools announced the one-game deal on Wednesday.
The deal will pay Troy $1.5 million for the trip, which ties for the largest payout for the school, matching the game at Ole Miss for 2022.
Two years ago, Troy dropped a 30-24 decision to Clemson, the eventual CFP National Champions, in a game that featured a controversial 14-point swing at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
