The Trojans strung together six hits – all singles -- in the third and fourth innings, leading to four runs in a 4-1 defeat of the Ragin’ Cajuns. After struggling at the plate for portions of the season, the Trojans tallied 10 hits off Cajun starter Wyatt Marks and reliever Will Bacon.
“I do like some of the things I’m starting to see,” Trojans head coach Mark Smartt said. “We got a couple of balls in play today that helped us. We’ve been striking out too much. I do think we’re starting to turn a little bit.
