Troy scored 17 points off turnovers and knocked Southern Miss’ last-ditch pass to the ground to secure a 37-31 win over the Golden Eagles at M.M. Roberts Stadium Saturday. Troy dealt Southern Miss, the Conference USA runner-up last year, its first defeat of the season.
“That was a big win. That’s a quality football opponent – a team that plays as hard on video as anybody in my two years here as a head coach,” Trojans head coach Neal Brown said.
