MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Fans will have to wait an extra two days for Troy's Sun Belt Conference opener against Coastal Carolina as severe weather in the state capital postponed Wednesday's action.
After a meeting of conference officials and a coach's vote, it was decided that the tournament would move forward following a single-elimination format beginning Friday, May 27, from Riverwalk Stadium.
Troy and Coastal Carolina will kick off the newly formatted tournament beginning at 9 a.m. Friday morning. The winner will go on to the semifinals and play Saturday, May 28, against the winner of the Appalachian State, Georgia Southern matchup.
