TROY, Ala. – After a two-hour and thirteen-minute delay due to thunder and lightning, Caleb Bartolero's two-out, two-run single gave Troy a 3-2 victory over Georgia State Sunday afternoon from Riddle-Pace Field.
The victory gives the Trojans (28-14, 13-8) their fourth straight win and 28th on the season, already surpassing last season's win total.
The eighth inning began with a Jesse Hall walk, but a strikeout and a flyout had given Georgia State two quick outs. Easton Kirk worked a seven-pitch walk to keep the inning alive and put two runners on.
