TROY, Ala. – The Troy baseball concluded their series with in-state rival South Alabama on Friday, seeing both teams take home a win and split the doubleheader at Riddle Pace Field.
Troy (21-12, 8-6) came away victorious in game one, winning 10-8, and the Jaguars (22-12, 9-6) took the nightcap after beating the Trojans in extra innings 11-6.
Controversy struck late in the 10th inning of the second game as South Alabama was able to take the lead with a bases-loaded walk brought in the go-ahead run. With a 3-2 count, what looked to be a strike was called a ball, giving the Jaguars the lead.
