TROY, Ala. – Fresh off a 66-62 thrilling season-opening win over Samford on Monday night, the Troy University women's basketball team will head north to Martin, Tennessee, to face the UT Martin Skyhawks in a non-conference showdown.
The meeting between the two teams will be the first since February 1992. The Skyhawks will carry a 10-6 all-time record over the Trojans into the meeting on Thursday, but Troy will be riding a three-game winning streak over former Gulf South Conference foe.
Troy will enter the midweek matchup with a record of 1-0, while UT Martin will be playing its first game of the 2022-23 season.
