Trojans show improvement in running attack

TROY – Troy’s running game bounced back from a challenging start against Boise State to a nearly 300-yard performance against Florida A&M.

Few are predicting that kind of production against Nebraska, but Trojans head coach Neal Brown said his team has to stay on the field to keep the Huskers’ fast-paced offense on the sideline. That means being able to run the ball well enough to keep the defense honest.

“The scheme they play is built to take away the run,” Brown said. “We are going to have to get north and south.”

Troy’s running backs corps was improved against the Rattlers than in Week 1.
