TROY, Alabama – After falling to Georgia Southern by just one run in its last two games, Troy (14-8, 1-2 SBC) looks to bounce back with a midweek doubleheader against non-conference foe Southern Miss (10-16) on Thursday. Game one of the doubleheader is set for 3 p.m., and game two will begin at approximately 5 p.m.
Troy enters the match up after going 1-2 in the conference opening series against Georgia Southern. The Trojans took game one 6-3, but dropped the final two games by just one run each as the Eagles claimed the series victory.
The top of the lineup has been the most productive for Troy as Katie Webb, Logan Calhoun and Madeline Porter have accounted for almost half of Troy's hits (69-152) on the season.
