So one cannot blame Trojans head coach Phil Cunningham for preaching consistency as his team begins Sun Belt Conference play Wednesday at home against Arkansas State at 7:30 p.m.
“Are we the most talented team in the league? Absolutely not, but I think we have enough talent to make a run,” he said. “We have to be consistent. We’ve got to finish games.”
Against Paine College, a game played at the Dothan Civic Center, Troy (5-6) led by as many as 19. The Lions, though, managed to tie the game late before the Trojans pulled out an 85-77 victory.
