Head coach Neal Brown was in a team meeting earlier this month, letting the Troy Trojans know about their Dollar General Bowl date against Buffalo and the team’s itinerary in Mobile.
He couldn’t help but notice middle linebacker Carlton Martial’s excitement.
“His seat in the team room is right in the middle and I could see him going, ‘Yes!’” Brown said, applying a fist pump for emphasis. “He was fired up about it.”
Martial knows it’s another homecoming. The former prep star at McGill-Toolen is coming off a redshirt freshman season that was as dominant as it was surprising.
