BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Troy sits in third place with 29 points after day one of the Sun Belt Indoor Track & Field Championships, just two and a half points outside of second.
The Trojans finished the day with a dominant victory in the distance medley relay – comprised of Lauren Locke, Vennessa Frank, Edita Sklenska and Tanner Guest – with the second-fastest time in school history (11:54.08). This marks the third consecutive year Troy has taken gold in the event.
Maja Kuessner highlighted the day in the field events by breaking her own school record to earn a silver medal in the high jump.
