Trojans hurry to fix pass rush deficiencies

Freshman Uvakeious McGhee, shown playing against Clemson, could play a bigger role in Troy's pass rush rotation this week.

“We have a lot of anxiety regarding that. We have got to get more pressure,” Trojans defensive coordinator Vic Koenning said. “We haven’t been able to transition from run to pass very well. Even when we’re in passing downs, nobody is beating anybody.”

“We’ve got to get more pressure on the quarterback. That’s something that we were real successful at last year,” Trojans head coach Neal Brown added. “That’s something we’ve got to get fixed, and we’ve got to get it fixed in a hurry as we start league play.
