ATLANTA, Ga. – Troy fell to Georgia State in a hard-fought game Saturday afternoon at the GSU Baseball Complex. Drew Frederic and Logan Cerny both homered in the contest, but it wasn't enough as the Panthers evened the series with a 7-5 win.
Cerny sent a two-run blast over the left field wall to give the Trojans a 5-3 advantage just before the stretch, but four Panther runs in the bottom half of the inning gave Georgia State its only lead of the game at 7-5.
Frederic, a sixth-year player, played in his 223rd game as a Trojan which breaks the program record for career games previously held by Chase Smartt.
