The Trojans’ unit forced at least three turnovers, including two interceptions by Jalen Rountree, as Troy conducted its second spring scrimmage Friday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Coming off a strong performance in the first scrimmage last Saturday, the defensive line also played well – outside of surrendering a 96-yard touchdown run to Josh Anderson.
At this point of the spring, though, defenses outshining the offenses can be expected, Troy head coach Neal Brown said.
“I’m proud of the defensive effort, as (I) should be this deep in the spring,” he said.
