TROY, Ala. – The Trojans opened the 2021-22 basketball season Tuesday night with a 104–42 win over Carver College from a packed Trojan Arena. This was the fourth straight year the Trojans have defeated the Cougars.
Trojans (1-0) came out of the gate hot-hitting eight of their first nine shots, including four for five behind the three-point line. Troy finished with three double-digit scorers led by , who finished with 17 points, then with 13, and with 12.
Carver (0-3) was led by Dyllon Scott, who had 15 points. The Cougars only shot 28 percent from the floor, turned the ball over 31 times.
