Trojan men face must-win situation against tough ULM

While the Trojans, at 4-13 in Sun Belt Conference play, are not mathematically eliminated from reaching the conference tournament, they must win out to get there and get some help. Only the top eight teams reach the event in New Orleans.

Troy begins the final three-game stretch today against Louisiana-Monroe at home at 4:15 p.m. The Warhawks enter the game second in the Sun Belt with a 12-5 mark in conference play.

“We can’t let (the loss to) Lafayette affect Monroe,” Trojans head coach Phil Cunningham said. “We’re mathematically still in it. That’s the thing that hurts the most is we put ourselves in great position to earn a win (Thursday) – if we just do a little better in a few areas down the stretch.
