“People always ask me, ‘What are you fired up about camp for?”’ Brown said at the recent Sun Belt Media Day. “I’m fired up about seeing who has gotten better over the last three months.
“I’m fired up to see who’s going to make that big jump, because somebody in our program is going to make a tremendous jump over the next two weeks.”
Someone will need to make a jump at quarterback, where Kaleb Barker and Sawyer Smith are vying to replace standout Brandon Silvers, the starter the past four years.
“How Sawyer and how Kaleb are going to handle it, I don’t know because they’ve never been in those situations,” Brown said.
