TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Led by junior Corina Cox's runner-up finish in the discus and a number of outstanding performances by the throwers, the Trojans concluded day three of the John Mitchell Alabama Relays on Saturday with several season's and personal-best marks.
"We're thrilled by Cori's success today in the discus – that was a huge step forward that significantly improved her national ranking, and we know there's more where that came from," director Davis said. "As for a lot of our other athletes, we saw some signs of progress and areas that require additional work, but nothing out of the ordinary for this early stage of the outdoor season as we continue to train in preparation for the men's and women's conference meets.
