TROY — Troy’s senior players went to coach Neal Brown last week with a simple request for their final scheduled home game.
Brown was already ahead of them.
The Trojans wanted a set of special guests to be part of their senior day festivities. Brown had already arranged for them to be there.
Corey McCullers’ family was there Saturday and part of the ceremony, right down to the group hugs, group pictures and group tears.
“They’re part of our family,” safety Cedarius Rookard said after Troy’s 12-7 win over Texas State. “They’re going to stay family.
