TROY, Alabama – Thirty Troy University student-athletes were among the nearly 1,000 students who had their degrees officially conferred Friday at Troy University's spring commencement ceremony in Trojan Arena.
About 822 students were expected to receive an undergraduate degree, 155 their master's degree and 12 received a doctorate degree. The graduating class represents 26 U.S. states and 22 nations.
Eleven of Troy's 13 programs were represented in the ceremony with four student-athletes graduating Summa Cum Laude – Zack Lightsey (baseball), Brennan Garriques (men's track & field), Daniel Glick (men's track & field) and Kiara Barrett (volleyball).
