Troy, Ala. – Troy men's cross country senior Brackin Stewart has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Stewart earns the award after winning the eight-kilometer race at the Azalea City Classic on Friday with a time of 26:32.90, which was 16 seconds faster than second place. The individual victory marked the second win of the season for Stewart as he won the JSU Struts Season Opener 5k on Aug. 31 in a personal best 15:33.30.
Stewart is the first Trojan to garner the award since then-junior Tim Bulger earned the accolade on Sept.
