State NFL roundup: Huntsville's Chester Rogers steps up for Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Chester Rogers entered Sunday night's game with five receptions for 63 yards in his rookie season.

That was with the Colts using their regular rotation of receivers. On Sunday night, Indianapolis played without Donte Moncrief because of a shoulder injury, and Rogers made his first NFL start in his absence.

During the game, the Colts lost starter Phillip Dorsett to a hamstring injury and Quan Bray to an ankle injury. Dwayne Allen, the Colts' starting tight end, left the game with an injury, too.

Rogers responded with four catches for 63 yards to lead the Colts, but Indianapolis lost to the Houston Texans 26-23 in overtime.
