State NFL roundup: Gardendale's Jordan Howard turns in second straight 100-yard game for Bears

Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard has made two NFL starts, and he's run for 100 yards in each of them.

On Sunday, Howard had 118 yards on 16 carries in the Bears' 29-23 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Last week, in the rookie's first NFL start, he ran for 111 yards on 23 carries in Chicago's victory over the Detroit Lions.

Howard also scored his first NFL touchdown on Sunday, although not on a run. The former Gardendale High School and UAB standout caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brian Hoyer with 7:04 left in the game as the Bears took a 23-19 lead.
