Former Daphne High School and Samford standout Michael Pierce made the first start of his NFL career for the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The addition of the undrafted rookie gave the Ravens' five players from Alabama high schools in their starting 11 on defense.
Joining Pierce were inside linebacker C.J. Mosley, who played at Theodore High School and Alabama; cornerback Jerraud Powers, who played at Decatur High School and Auburn; outside linebacker Za'Darius Smith, who played at Greenville High School; and free safety Lardarius Webb, who played at Beauregard High School.
